NFL
I chose to write about the clash between the NFL and President Trump regarding kneeling protest during the National Anthem. Paul Schwartz, Zach Braziller and, Bruce Golding in their article, "More than 200 protest racism in the loud NFL statement", published in the New York Post. This article was brought to my attention, due to the fact that it has to do with my country.
More than 200 NFL players took a knee during the national anthem, while other players locked arms with their coaches. Trump had made a speech on Friday, October 6 in Alabama, when he stated that the NFL team owners should fire any player that knees during the anthem, which that was not at all the right thing to say. Trump continued this through Sunday when he put a post on social media about boycotting the NFL. In my personal opinion, it makes me furious to see this on the news, and on social media. We are all the selfsame, we bleed the same color blood. And this country is my home, and I feel like the players that are taking the knee is disrespecting my home and the people who are out there fighting for our freedom. Trump had never said anything about racism during his speech. Trump stated, " This has nothing to do with race or anything else. This has to do with respect for our country and respect for our flag". And I totally agree with the president on this. Our national anthem has nothing to do with race, it has to do with our freedom and the people who fought for our freedom. If the players of the NFL our mad because of racism, then do a protest on your own time, not when its Sunday and you have your fans, family, and friends watching them kneel and disrespect their country because they are mad about racism. And this whole putting a fist in the air for "black power" is ridiculous. Sunday is for football not for protest, do it on their own time. I'm not racist, but when it comes to disrespecting my country and home is when I put my floor down. I love football, I love watching football, its one of my favorite sports. But these players are ruining it for me and probably everyone else. I don't watch it now, and I won't watch it, till this nonsense is over with.

It's not over black power, its over police brutality it's not a power, it's a movement of freedom of speech. He targeted NFL player's calling them "SOB" it's wrong but also right at the same time because our amendment's always becomes an argument over this topic. I understand where your coming from but it's more than the flag it's not just about the flag. It's about what the flag represents and U.S. is at it's worst toll with what is happening right now. With everything that is happening it's a concern that has to change for everyone to love one another.
